As unlikely as it may seem, many landscape architects have a surprisingly weak grasp on plant materials.  Perhaps it can be attributed to the fact the field of landscape architecture is so broad that it may be easy for some landscape architects to work primarily in different capacities that don’t necessitate the thorough understanding of plant selection as it relates to climate and design.

We feel that regardless of the type of work we are doing, our team of designers and landscape architects should always have a strong foundation in their knowledge of local plant materials and availabilities.  We encourage our staff to regularly visit local nurseries to stay fresh on the latest and most readily available plant materials so that our designs remain efficiently designed and built as well as environmentally sound.
