The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has honored Bridgeland with a Gold Award for Best Landscape Design in its 2012 The Nationals competition.

Bridgeland was recognized for its efforts to preserve and enhance its natural landscape, including building aesthetically pleasing waterways rather than unsightly drainage ditches. Bridgeland also uses native grasses and other plants frequently to ensure a thriving landscape that requires minimal water and maintenance.
